Based in Detroit, she provides analysis and insights on the auto industry using AutoTrader's trove of consumer and industry data. An auto analyst and an award-winning automotive writer with nearly 35 years covering the global auto industry, Krebs previously was a senior auto analyst and editor for car-shopping website Edmunds.com and a reporter and editor for trade journal Automotive News. She is a columnist for Forbes.com. She has written for publications ranging from The New York Times to Motor Trend. She is frequently quoted by publications across the globe on automotive industry news and issues. Krebs is president of the Society of Automotive Analysts and a board member and past president of the Automotive Press Association. She is a juror on the North American Car and Truck of the Year and was a juror on the Car of the Century. Krebs has been an adjunct professor of journalism at Oakland University and of business at Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Krebs is a graduate of Syracuse University with an English degree and a degree in magazine journalism from the Newhouse School.
