Mary Kay Bowman , Square
Mary Kay is Square’s Head of Payments, overseeing engineering, product, and operations teams who create Square’s innovative payment products and services that provide delightful and inclusive payment experiences for millions of Square’s sellers and their customers. She joined Square in April 2015, bringing with her more than 20 years of global payments strategy, product management, and operations experience. She has worked with online, offline and mobile commerce companies at all stages.
She was previously at Amazon, where she spent 11 years elevating Amazon’s global payment acceptance, issuance and gift card programs to leading standards. Prior to that, she led global payments for Digital River’s world-wide platform to enable mobile and digital commerce.
Mary Kay holds a degree in Business Administration and Art from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is passionate about making paying and being paid a delightful experience for buyers, sellers, and developers and works to influence the industry to do the same.
