Pivoting on Payments

Video Summary

As online credit lender Kreditech sets their aim to emerging markets such as India and expands into the payments sector, Founder and CEO, Alexander Graubner-Mueller explores the potential of moving into the payments sphere.

Alexander Graubner-Müller, Co-Founder and CEO of Kreditech, strongly believes that algorithms and statistical data are the building blocks for the next Industrial Revolution. He is convinced that big data-based decision making will become the sole focus of digital banking in the future, and will eventually change the entire industry. Prior to co-founding Kreditech, Alexander co-founded and sold the prediction-market engine PredictX together with Sebastian Diemer (Kreditech’s other co-founder). Before his days as an entrepreneur, he managed engineering and product development at Rocket Internet. Alexander also has a background in the investment and banking sectors. Alexander studied at the University of St. Gallen and the Swiss Institute of Technology, and holds a dual bachelor’s degree in business and econometrics. During his studies he was involved in various research projects regarding web and data mining.
