David Cole co-founded NextVR in 2009 and currently leads intellectual property development and advancement of NextVR’s immersive virtual reality platform.
With nearly three decades at the forefront digital imaging, electronic educational technology and stereoscopic research and development, Cole has co-authored 26 patents related to virtual reality and stereoscopic technology and three patents in adaptive computer learning technology.
Before NextVR, Cole was CEO at LearningSoft, an educational technology company. Early in his career he founded Studiotronics, a digital imaging company that produced Colorset scanning software. Studiotronics was acquired by Chinon America, a subsidiary of Kodak, where Cole served as board member and EVP of research and development. He has served on the board of Marineland Florida, the world’s first oceanarium.
